Alternative Uniform
Alternative uniforms give more customization options for the characters. Each suit offers a unique set of Iso-8 sockets, new passives and abilities, as well as an option to change the character's class. Like the heroes, they can be purchased in the Team Management screen and/or the “Featured Hero” panel in the News section using Command Points. Some of them can also be won as chapter mastery rewards.


Horseman of Pestilence
Description: When Apocalypse begins his genocidal conquest, he recruits mutants to serve as his "Four Horsemen". Brainwashed and twisted to serve his interests, they are granted even greater power than they had before.

• Allies that have Weakened, Exposed, Dizzy, Slowed, Burning, Chilled, Poisoned, or Dark Void apply those effects when they attack.

• Allies take reduced damage from damage over time effects.

Actions
Different skills can be unlocked as the heroes level up. Reaching levels 1, 2, 6 and 9 will guarantee access to new abilities. This can be done by gaining XP points for the characters and training them in the Team Management screen. Other heroes can unlock more than four abilities during combat. In some cases, alternative uniforms can offer new move sets as well.

Team-ups
Team-up bonuses are awarded when certain heroes are paired together in a battle. Some hero pairs get multiple team-up bonuses. This awards the players 50 points per bonus at the end of the battle. As part of the PvE score modifier, team-up bonuses improve the player's total score and increases the speed of obtaining chapter mastery stars. The pairing of the heroes are based on certain events that happened in the mainstream comic books of the Marvel Universe. This can range from existing or former organizations, to love pairings and couples.

His combat expertise buff only lasts until the start of your ally's next turn. This is a bug and not as described. I think it is Beast's best move and needs fixing.

It should at least have the same duration as Cyclops' Combat Expertise. There are several threads in the official forums about this bug already but Playdom's playing hide-and-seek, as usual.

Beast as a stand alone isn't that impressive and somewhat limited, but as a few other characters, he exists for support with the option to attack.
His STD suit on the other hand makes him more interesting and opens up team ups with just about anyone who loves exploiting debuffs of all sorts. the Iso-8 outbreak provides both attrition and paragon debuffs which a wide variety of characters can exploit. I consider the alternate suit more relevant and useful in PvP environment and in some PvE situations also.

Beast as pestilence is a brutal team mate, his damage isn't always huge but the utility of him is awesome, he voids mystic, he effectively gives you the crown buff at the same time, and prevents any debuffs from being removed making things like scrolls and cubes not as useful. On that note Distraction when used by the other team can be a terrible, terrible thing and often causes me to waste turns refreshing to avoid killing my own team.(not as bad if you have teams where you can use aoe)

Beast by himself is ok for passive support attacker. As pestilence he is super annoying if you don't take him out quickly. Something I would like to note. The Neurotrope, the gadget based on him is quick action. His L6 action as Pestilence is quick action but yet his L6 in his regular suit is still not.

Beast really shines with his Horseman of Pestilence alternate suit. You can literally pair him with almost anyone in the game provided that he gets protection. Characters like Havok can take him down in their first turn. He works best with Satana and Rogue. Satana, most especially, powers up the team by increasing all their stats when they received Paragon debuffs like Weakened, Exposed, Slowed and Dizzy.
