Generally, I think he's kinda crap, but I wonder how he'll work paired up with Shatterstar, given how bleed happy Shatter is.

Well, some say he's not good in PvE but he's overall a decent character in PvP. I haven't used him much to say anything about him, but we'll find out how he'll fit in this coming season. I'm sure it will be out one of these days, this week.

I just realized that Shatter has absolutely no bleed. So I guess that's a bust combo.

I may have been hasty in my statement of his crappiness. He's still a terrible choice for PvP, but in PvE fights if you're going up against range characters, using his Chivalrous Duty makes him a ridiculous power house that kill stuff in one-two shots.

They didn't add Bleeding to any of Shatterstar's skills because they felt it would make him a “just another bleed” character and we already have enough of those. As for Black Knight and Shatterstar, I haven't seen any of them in PvP ever and I think that speaks a lot about their utility in the game. Playdom somewhat needs to look at the skills of whoever they release as Adamantium rewards. They can be earned from PvP, therefore, they must be made for PvP.

for some reason i hate this hero. his look, his L1 crit dmg doesn't do any additional dmg. he's lvl 12 maxed though, but only through sheer training on flight deck

I don't like him either. His skills have little to no synergy. He's not interesting enough, either. He's the budget version of Ares, but that's being too generous.

I really don't like him either! I feel like he was placed in to make the Excalibur team, and then for that one mission in Season 2, and its like Playdom knows he isn't really a good character too! I have never seen him in PVP and don't expect to.

Actually, I've seen him a few times in PvP when he was first launched. I think he's one of those characters Playdom designed to be effective in that aspect of the game, but ultimately failed because better characters came shortly.
